Champagne Thiénot Brut NV

This blend of the three classic Champagne grape varieties is the signature style of Thiénot, the epitome of finesse, fruit and freshness.

Food pairing: A refined aperitif champagne with a lovely freshness, Thiénot Brut will go perfectly with oysters, fish tartare, or marinated shellfish. It also goes just as well with parmesan puff pastry twists.

Domaine Fond Croze Côtes-du-Rhône Villages “Shyrus” Vaison La Romaine 2021(Organic), Rhône

“Shyrus” is a selection of the most beautiful Syrah vines located at the top of the northern slopes of our Saint-Roman-De-Malegarde vineyard.
“All Syrah from a single parcel, aged in oak, the 2021 Côtes Du Rhône Villages Vaison-La-Romaine Shyrus looks to be slightly more successful, with a terrific sense of purity in its blue fruits, pepper, and violet-tinged aromatics. These carry to a medium-bodied Syrah delivering perfectly ripe tannins, a polished, elegant mouthfeel, and outstanding length.” 90-92 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, March 2023

Food pairing: Perfect with steak, game, a beef lasagna and strong cheeses.

Château La Garde rouge 2014, Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux

Concentrated tannic structure. Toasty notes reflect perfectly integrated oak character while the palate culminates in an intense finish. A beautifully balanced wine which pays tribute to the superb terroir at Chateau la Garde.

Food pairing:A very good match with game, red and white meat, and cheese.

Domaine Trapet Riquewihr Riesling 2016 (Organic), Alsace

“A minerally and stony wine with medium body, fresh acidity and a crisp finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now”. 91 Points, James Suckling, July 2019

Food pairing: It goes remarkably well with Thai and oriental food. The weight of the wine, the power of its fruit and good acidity will all stand up to the more fragrant dishes of the east, matching the herbs, the spices, and the creamy coconut if needs be. Also good with blue cheeses and creamy goat’s cheeses.

Domaine des Entrefaux Crozes-Hermitage Rouge, 2017,Rhône

“Entrefaux’s 2017 Crozes Hermitage smells like sun-warmed stones and herb-laced black olives. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a velvety mouthfeel and long finish that picks up notes that resemble cola and dried spices. It should drink well for 4-5 years.” 90 Points, Wine Advocate, Joe Czerwinski

Food Pairing: Excellent with beef stew, cassoulet, Moroccan tagine, and coq au vin.

Hermanos Hernáiz, Finca La Emperatriz Viñedo Singular Rioja Tinto 2017,  Rioja Alta

“I really liked the seriousness, restraint and balance of the 2017 Finca la Emperatriz Gran Vino Tinto, a blend of 76% Tempranillo, 22% Garnacha and 2% white Viura. It combines ripeness and power with elegance and subtleness. The wine feels too young, especially in the palate, with some tannins still to be resolved by some more time in bottle. It’s medium to full-bodied and has a dry, serious and long finish. This should evolve toward a quite classical expression of Rioja… ” 93 Points, Wine Advocate, Luis Gutiérrez, October 2020

Food Pairing: A great wine to pair with many dishes. Great partner to lamb and beef, rich Spanish food and barbecues. Great with pork, chorizo, iberico and cheeses such as manchego, an aged gouda or mature cheddar.
