Grand Vin de Château de Ricaud, 2016, Cadillac Côtes-de-Bordeaux

Le Grand Vin de Château de Ricaud is only produced in limited quantity and is prized for its elegance and distinction. Concentrated and revealing delicate tannins, it is utterly charming—a true jewel of a wine!

“I love the Grand Vin de Chateau de Ricaud 2016 for its charm and refinement. It’s very concentrated and complex. The long silky finish and the overall balance are impressive. A great wine punching well above its Cadillac-Cotes de Bordeaux Appellation. Do try it!” Christophe

Food pairing: Drink with grilled red meat or meat and gravy (meatballs in sauce, rabbit stew, etc.), roasted poultry (quails and plum, guinea fowl with chestnuts, chicken and mushrooms-filled vol-au-vent), and cheeses such as camembert, brie de Meaux, and goat cheese.

Domaine Fond Croze Côtes-du-Rhône Villages “Shyrus” Vaison La Romaine 2022 (Organic), Rhône

“Shyrus” is a selection of the most beautiful Syrah vines at the top of the northern slopes of our Saint-Roman-De-Malegarde vineyard.  Aged in oak, with delicious black fruit aromas and toasted notes.

“I really like Syrah in general, I find it to be very good value for money. I love it, it is spicy and fresh at the same time. It’s great with a chilli con carne.” Estelle

Food pairing: Perfect with steak, game, beef lasagna and strong cheeses.

Pierre Amadieu Gigondas Le Pas de L’Aigle 2016, Rhône

“I am a huge fan of Rhone wines. We listed this wine earlier this year as we all loved it at a tasting. We had a small allocation and were thrilled to be able to ship more from Pierre Amadieu. This is their flagship wine and it is beautiful, concentrated and complex.” Thierry

“Full-bodied, rich and intense, black fruit aromas and spices. A total revelation! Lovely now but will benefit from a few years in the cellar – if I can wait that long!” François

Food pairing: This wine screams for rich dishes. Beef stews, truffle dishes, roast lamb and game.

Domaine Jean-Maurice Raffault Chinon Clos de l’Hospice, 2015, Loire

Clos de l’Hospice is an extraordinary one-hectare vineyard and one of Chinon’s greatest sites with a long history.
“The nose is complex with ripe dark fruit aromas and a touch of spice. The palate is rich, complex, intense with beautiful rich dark fruit. Very long. Beautiful wine from this great Domaine!! ” Anna

Food Pairing: This Chinon will pair well with roast pork, poultry or beef. A great partner to a beef bourguignon. Also excellent with mature cheeses. Great with many vegetarian dishes such as lentils, bean casserole, and roasted red peppers.

Herdade do Freixo Terroir red 2020, Portugal

“Terroir red from Freixo in the Alentejo is an exciting, complex wine that is beautifully made and all too easy to drink!” Nick

Food pairing: Perfect with traditional Portuguese meat and fish dishes, its freshness and elegance make it an ideal match to fusion cuisine, Italian pasta, and oriental dishes.

Domaine Bousquet Hunuc Reserve Malbec Tupungato Valle De Uco 2022 (Organic), Argentina

Ground-mushrooms and berries aromas. Medium body, soft and silky tannins and a flavourful finish. A fantastic Malbec that we all love! Superb value for money.

Food pairing: Perfect with red meat and for veggie options: mushroom and butternut squash dishes.
